GT Management had a succesful season with new accomplishments thru the year. Athletes´ Representative Hans Üürike talks about some of the highlights of the Olympic Year. Physically challenging but very rewarding I was freezing in a tent on mountains in Morocco, when a text message arrived on that cold night in April: “Fedrick took the world lead with 68.02m”. Of course I woke up at 3200m altitude, came out of the tent and started working on this. GT Management athlete Tim Nedow from Canada competed last week at BYU Fall Throwing meet in Provo, Utah. He won the meet with a new personal best indoors – an amazing new world lead 20.98m. Tim had a previous PB indoors 20.54m from early 2015 – now he beated that result on every throw in Provo. His series was: 20.57, 20.89, 20.77, 20.98, 20.87, 20.57. This performance is the same as his outdoor PB since 2014. This shows that Tim is already in his best shape ever and fall training has been going really well.
