Ryan Crouser, 2016 Olympic Shot Put Champion from Rio with a new Olympic Record Throw of 22.52m, talks with Shaun Pickering about his preparation for Rio, from being a full-time student finishing a “Masters” degree in Finance in May, to a full-time athlete winning the Olympic Gold Medal in August, and his plans for the future.  The latest great athlete from a “Throwing Dynasty” in Oregon, The Crouser Family, via the University of Texas to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, this modest and intelligent 23 year old talks about his influences, technique and his hopes and plans for the future.
